Carenna Slotkoff

Carenna Slotkoff joined AUSA in March 2025 as Program Manager for the Leadership Education Fellows Program in the Center for Leadership.
Carenna graduated from Elon University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. While immersed in Elon’s intensive, conservatory-style training, she studied abroad with the Theatre Academy of London and built on her love for collaboration and leadership in the theatre world and beyond. She also developed these skills through her sorority’s philanthropy work as a member of Sigma Kappa. Additionally, she expanded on her passion for writing and literature and is a proud member of the International English Honors Society, Sigma Tau Delta. Carenna has always felt passionate about fostering an environment of creativity that thrives on empathy, authenticity, and connection.
Carenna’s sister and brother-in-law both hold leadership roles connected to the Army; her sister as a therapist who specializes in PTSD within the service member and veteran community of Fort Johnson, Louisiana, and her brother-in law as a Captain in the Army who current works as an OC/T at JRTC. Carenna has watched them both lead with expertise, passion, and empathy in their respective roles. This, combined with her interest and past experiences in non-profit work, led her to AUSA.
She is so grateful and excited to combine her passions at the Association of the United States Army.
Outside of AUSA, Carenna is an active part of DC’s professional theatre scene. Her passion project is her Instagram account dedicated to her writing. In her free time, she enjoys reading with a cup of tea and the company of her cat, Poppy. She loves yoga, dancing, consuming plays, scrapbook journaling, and beach trips with her family.
