Brig. Gen. Paul “Greg” Smith, Army National Guard retired, is the former land component commander of the Massachusetts Army National Guard. He served as dual-status commander during Superstorm Sandy and joint task force commander during the Boston Marathon bombings response. He teaches counterterrorism and leadership at colleges in Massachusetts.
