Brig. Gen. Michael Talley is commanding general of the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command and Fort Detrick, Maryland. He served combat tours during Operation Iraqi Freedom as executive officer, 261st Medical Battalion, and operations officer, 507th Corps Support Group (Airborne). He is a national board-certified respiratory therapy practitioner.
