Angel Mangum has been married to Lieutenant General (retired) Kevin Mangum for 35 years. As an Army Spouse, she served as a Family Readiness Group leader and an advisor at all levels of command during her husband’s active duty career. Angel is a retired Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with over 30 years in the medical field. She worked as a CRNA at various Army hospitals in the United States and in the Republic of Korea. Angel found great joy in volunteering and providing anesthesia to Service members and their Families across the globe.
After her retirement as a medical provider, Angel continues to volunteer for causes she is passionate about. She is an active volunteer in the District of Columbia and in the Northern Virginia area, as a docent at Library of Congress; a mediator for the District of Columbia Superior Court; an Army General Officer Spouse Mentor; and an Army Arlington Lady.
Angel has a Bachelor’s of Nursing from Austin Peay State University and a Master’s of Science, Anesthesia Focus from the Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia.
Angel and Kevin have a daughter, Anela, who is a Judge Advocate General officer. She and her husband, a fellow Army Officer, are stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
