Amy Moore

Amy Moore is an Army veteran, surviving spouse, and mom.  She and her husband, COL James (Jim) Moore met while they were serving as Lieutenants in Germany.  They were married for 18 years and had 2 children, Meghan and Sean before Jim was killed along with six other soldiers in a Blackhawk crash on November 29, 2004, in Texas.  In May of 2004, Amy retired with 22 years active and reserve service.As a military spouse, Amy serves on AUSA's Family Readiness Spouse Advisory Group. She has also served with Family Readiness Groups (FRGs) at the Company, Battalion, and Brigade levels.   She also volunteered with numerous organizations, centered around unit and youth activities.  Her roles have included:  soccer coach, Girl Scout leader, PTA President, Parent Advisory Committee, American Red Cross, MCEC (Military Child Education Coalition), and AFAP (Army Family Action Plan).
