Vote Required on Renaming Membership Groups

A bylaws change amending names of membership categories for the Association of the U.S. Army has been adopted by the Council of Trustees and now requires a vote by the membership to take effect.

With the change, the sustaining member and corporate member categories would be replaced by a new title, Industry Partner Member. This title would cover national and community members from businesses and organizations of all sizes.

Ratification of the bylaws change requires a membership vote on a simple “yes” or “no” question in favor or in opposition to the Council of Trustees recommendation.

Members may vote online or by printing out and returning a ballot. Votes must be received by Dec. 29, 2017.

Details on the recommended changes and ballots are available here: https://www.ausa.org/bylaws-voting
