The senior enlisted adviser to the Joint Chiefs chairman will speak during an upcoming webinar hosted by the Association of the U.S. Army.

Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Ramon Colon-Lopez, also known as the SEAC, will discuss fitness, diversity, professional military education and other topics during the Sept. 14 event as part of The AUSA Noon Report series.

The event begins at noon Eastern. It is free to view, but registration is required here.

Colon-Lopez has served as the military’s most senior enlisted service member, by position, and principal military adviser to the Joint Chiefs chairman since December. An Air Force pararescueman with more than 30 years of service, Colon-Lopez has served in the U.S., Europe and the Pacific and deployed numerous times to support operations in Afghanistan, Iraq and elsewhere.

Before being sworn in as the fourth SEAC, Colon-Lopez was the senior enlisted leader for U.S. Africa Command.

As SEAC, Colon-Lopez has played a key role in talking to service members and providing their feedback to Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley and other DoD leaders, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He also serves on the new DoD Diversity and Inclusion Board as the department works to eliminate bias across the military.

The goal is to make sure “everybody serving is valued for their talent, abilities and experiences,” Colon-Lopez said during a recent virtual town hall. “That is our promise to you.”
