Rainey Speaks at Strategic Landpower Dialogue

Gen. James Rainey, commanding general of Army Futures Command, will speak March 26 as part of the Strategic Landpower Dialogue co-hosted by the Association of the U.S. Army and the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
The event will take place in conjunction with AUSA’s Global Force Symposium and Exposition in Huntsville, Alabama, marking the first time the popular dialogue series is held outside of Washington, D.C.
Launched in September 2023, the Strategic Landpower Dialogue is a quarterly on-the-record speaker series on land power security issues. It serves as a unique source of insight into the current thinking of and future challenges facing the U.S. Army and land-based forces.
The event with Rainey begins at 4 p.m. Central in the Von Braun Center’s Mark C. Smith Concert Hall in Huntsville.
Registration for Global Force is required for admittance to the concert hall. If you are not attending the Global Force Symposium but would like to attend the Strategic Landpower Dialogue, please arrive at the concert hall at 3:45 p.m., where you will be given a guest registration code by AUSA staff at no cost. You’ll be required to register before entering the discussion. The code is only valid for admittance to the Strategic Landpower Dialogue.
The event also will be livestreamed on the AUSA YouTube channel here. Register for the livestream here.
Rainey also is slated to deliver the first keynote address at the AUSA Global Force Symposium and Exposition, a three-day event that kicks off on March 25. This year’s theme, “Driving Continuous Transformation of Ready Combat Formations,” reinforces the Army’s drive to dominate the battlefield in an era marked by disruptive and fast technological changes.
In addition to Rainey, Global Force will feature several senior Army leaders, including Sgt. Maj. of the Army Michael Weimer, leaders from Army Materiel Command and Army Futures Command, and senior leaders from some of the Army’s combat formations.
Throughout all three days of Global Force, the Army will offer Warriors Corner presentations from its booth in the South Hall, and AUSA will host its Generation Next Forum, an AUSA Young Professionals meeting focused on personal and professional development.
There will be networking opportunities, almost 200 exhibits showcasing the latest innovations from industry and the Army, and some 6,000 attendees are expected.
