George’s Eisenhower Address is Day 2 Highlight

The highlight of Day Two of AUSA 2024 is the Dwight D. Eisenhower Luncheon address by Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George, but there also are many events for soldiers and family members.
On-site registration opens at 7 a.m.
In the morning, Lt. Gen. Jonathan Stubbs, the new director of the Army National Guard, will lead a seminar titled “Transforming the Army’s Combat Reserve for Global Campaigning and Large-Scale Combat.”
Gen. Darryl Williams, commanding general of U.S. Army Europe and Africa, will lead a contemporary military forum titled “NATO Convergence in Contact: Transforming Landpower,” and Army Undersecretary Gabe Camarillo and Army Vice Chief of Staff Gen. James Mingus will speak during a fireside chat on accelerating command and control and network innovation.
Sgt. Maj. of the Army Michael Weimer will brief on his initiatives and focus areas, and there also will be a Warfighter and Family Forum on transforming combat ready care, featuring Lt. Gen. Telita Crosland, director of the Defense Health Agency, Army Surgeon General Lt. Gen. Mary Krueger Izaguirre, and Jonathan Woodson, president of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
Also happening in the morning is a seminar featuring Lt. Gen. Robert Harter, the new Army Reserve chief and commanding general of U.S. Army Reserve Command. Harter will lead a session titled “Adapt, Transform and Modernize the Army Reserve.”
There also is a panel on the Army’s Holistic Health and Fitness Program led by Mingus.
After the Eisenhower Luncheon, there will be a showcase highlighting the winners of the General William E. DePuy Writing Contest, the Army’s premier writing competition, and a forum titled “Transforming Warfighter Readiness” led by Gen. Andrew Poppas, commanding general of Army Forces Command.
At 3 p.m., Army Secretary Christine Wormuth, George and Weimer will participate in a fireside chat with soldiers and Army families.
A Homeland Defense Seminar featuring Air Force Gen. Gregory Guillot, commander of U.S. Northern Command, Lt. Gen. Maria Barrett, commander of Army Cyber Command, Erik Hooks, deputy administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and other experts will focus on critical infrastructure, power projection and national resilience.
Presentations at the Warriors Corner, at the Army exhibit in Booth 1825 in Hall B, include discussions on the Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft, the Army space vision and human-machine integration.
The exhibits are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
