The Association of the U.S. Army’s own Lori Wulf has been recognized by ConventionSouth as one of its Meeting Planners to Watch.

A leading meetings and events industry magazine since 1983, ConventionSouth provides its readers with the latest on venues, trends, news and the people who shape the industry, according to its website.

Each year, ConventionSouth invites nominations for its Meeting Planners to Watch list, highlighting “the outstanding talent shaping today’s meetings and events industry,” the publication said.

“This year’s nominees represent an impressive range of experience and achievement across the industry,” the magazine said in December when announcing its latest annual list. “They are leaders, innovators, and collaborators who bring passion, creativity, and dedication to every event they touch.”

Wulf, who is AUSA’s deputy director of Meetings, has been with the association since November 2017. In her role at AUSA, she oversees a global portfolio of trade shows and events that educate, inform and connect America’s Army with industry, academia, the public and more.

“Lori is an absolute superstar,” said retired Brig. Gen. Jack Haley, AUSA’s vice president for Membership and Meetings. “Lori’s leadership, expertise and creativity inspire all of us. We are so proud of her and thankful that she is on the AUSA team.”

In 2025, Wulf spearheaded planning for LANDEURO, AUSA’s new flagship European trade show. The inaugural two-day event in July in Wiesbaden, Germany, drew more than 2,300 attendees and facilitated critical dialogue and connections between the U.S. Army and its partners and allies in Europe.

Back home, Wulf and AUSA’s Meetings team delivered a successful Annual Meeting and Exposition in Washington, D.C., in October despite the government shutdown. More than 37,000 people attended the three-day event that featured senior Army leaders, displays celebrating the Army’s 250th birthday, educational panels and keynote presentations and more than 700 exhibits.

In her profile in ConventionSouth, Wulf credited her teammates for her success. “They are dedicated, creative, and collaborative; each brings unique strengths and always steps up to support one another,” she said. “It’s the kind of team most leaders dream of, and I feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside them every day.”
