AUSA Webinar Focuses on Army Recruiting, Marketing
An upcoming Association of the U.S. Army webinar will focus on the Army’s recruiting and marketing efforts.
Part of AUSA’s Noon Report series, the webinar on Sept. 24 will feature Maj. Gen. Johnny Davis, commanding general of Army Recruiting Command, and Brig. Gen. Antoinette Gant, chief of the Army Enterprise Marketing Office.
The event begins at noon Eastern. It is free, but registration is required here.
Facing a tough recruiting environment, the Army is transforming its recruiting enterprise and its recruiting workforce to better reach and connect with America’s youth.
This includes expanding its reach to seek out young people with some college education, experimenting with new technology to help sift through thousands of potential contacts, and transforming the way it selects and trains its recruiters.
During the Noon Report, Davis and Gant will talk about the recent changes to Army recruiting and highlight the lifelong advantages of serving in the Army.
Davis has led Army Recruiting Command since October 2022. Commissioned from New Mexico Military Institute in 1989, Davis has served in units such as the 24th Infantry Division, the 82nd Airborne Division, the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and the 101st Airborne Division.
A veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, Davis also has served in Korea, Haiti, the Sinai Peninsula and Kuwait.
Gant has been chief of the Army Enterprise Marketing Office since September 2023, where she is responsible for the development and implementation of the Army’s national marketing and advertising strategy and branding to increase talent acquisition and retention. She is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University in Texas and was commissioned in the engineer regiment.
She has served in several command and staff positions in engineering units and has deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.
