AUSA Webinar Features Army Reserve CSM

The senior enlisted soldier of the Army Reserve speaks Dec. 9 in a webinar hosted by the Association of the U.S. Army.

Command Sgt. Maj. Andrew Lombardo, a military police soldier, became the 14th command sergeant major of the Army Reserve this summer. He most recently was the senior enlisted soldier of the 200th Military Police Command at Fort Meade, Maryland.

The event begins at noon Eastern. The event is free, but registration is required.

Lombardo enlisted in the Army in 1985 and completed a two-year active-duty commitment before enlisting in the Army Reserve in Long Island, New York. He served in every NCO leadership position in various units within the 77th Regional Readiness Command and is a 2006 graduate of the Army Sergeants Major Academy.

In addition to the 200th MP Command, Lombardo was the command sergeant major for the 99th Readiness Division at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey, the 100th Training Division and the 333rd MP Brigade.

He has served six overseas deployments, including twice to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom and once to Afghanistan. He also served in Bosnia, Kosovo and the first Gulf War.

In his civilian career, Lombardo is a deputy inspector with the New York City Police Department.
