AUSA Releases New Podcasts in November

The Association of the U.S. Army is releasing at least four new podcast episodes in November, including a special episode featuring Army Chief of Staff Gen. James McConville and Sgt. Maj. of the Army Michael Grinston.

First up in the “Army Matters” series is a conversation with Command Sgt. Maj. Daniel Hendrex, the senior enlisted leader for Army Training and Doctrine Command. Hendrex, who has been in the job since September, will talk about the latest in enlisted training and education.

The episode is available Nov. 2.

The next podcast is an episode featuring Col. Kristine Henry, commander of the Maryland National Guard’s Task Force 291. The task force is made up of intelligence, information operations, signal, cyber and Special Forces units, according to the Guard.

During the Nov. 9 episode, which will also feature Master Sgt. Jessica Smith of Army Cyber Command, Henry and Smith will discuss the role the reserve component plays in cyber operations.

On Nov. 16, the podcast will focus on military spouse employment, the challenges faced by spouses who are always on the move because of their loved one’s military service, and initiatives being put in place to make it easier for spouses to get and keep employment.

A special edition of the podcast will be released Nov. 18. It will feature McConville and Grinston, who will discuss enlisted talent management and the latest in the Army’s efforts to better manage enlisted soldiers’ careers by matching them to the right jobs at the right time.
