In November, the Association of the U.S. Army’s “Army Matters” podcast will feature a veteran entrepreneur who’s looking to help others, and Army Emergency Relief’s role in aiding soldiers facing financial crises.

First up, on Nov. 6, is an episode titled “This Army Vet Wants to Fund Your Business.”

After leaving the Army in 2010, Tim Hsia wasn’t sure what to do next, but he had an itch to become an entrepreneur. His path took him to Stanford University, where he found some inspiration, and now his company, Context Ventures, has poured millions into veteran-led startup companies.

During the podcast, Hsia, a distinguished honor graduate of West Point who served as an infantry officer and deployed twice to Iraq, shares his business journey, how veterans can get their startups financed—and how you never quite know who you’ll encounter on your morning run.

Next up is an episode titled “In Case of Financial Emergency, Call AER.”

If soldiers or officers find themselves in a financial emergency, Army Emergency Relief often is the first place they turn. Retired Sgt. Maj. of the Army Michael “Tony” Grinston became the group’s CEO earlier this year, and he’s making changes that will take the organization to new heights.

Tune in to hear Grinston share his Army journey and talk about how Army Emergency Relief helps soldiers during natural disasters and the role legendary composer Irving Berlin played in the creation of the organization.

The podcast will be released on Nov. 20.
