AUSA Board Adds New Director, Reelects 7 Others

The Association of the U.S. Army’s Board of Directors elected a new director and reelected seven current members to serve on the association’s board.

The actions were taken when the board, AUSA’s governing body, met June 23.

Elected to serve as a director is Danny Deep, executive vice president of General Dynamics Combat Systems.

The board members reelected for additional terms are Lisa Atherton, president and CEO of Bell; Jim Cannon, president and CEO of AM General; Andy Hove, managing director of Horisonter Group; retired Sgt. Maj. of the Army Ken Preston; Bob Tyrer, co-president of The Cohen Group; and David Hathaway, president of ManTech’s defense sector. Phebe Novakovic, chairman and CEO of General Dynamics Corporation, also was reelected and will continue to serve as the board’s chair.

Additionally, the board elected nominees to serve on board committees.

Hove was elected to serve an additional three-year term on the Finance and Audit Committee, and retired Col. William Hudson Jr. was elected to serve an additional three-year term on the Standing Bylaws Committee.

Terms for newly elected officers begin July 1.
