AUSA 2024 Closes With Marshall Medal Presentation

Day Three of AUSA 2024 features forums and panels and the presentation of the Association of the U.S. Army’s highest award.
On-site registration opens at 8 a.m.
In the morning, a panel titled “Northern Flank Land Forces: Expansion and Modernization” features leaders from the Danish, Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish armies.
An Army civilian showcase will feature Army Secretary Christine Wormuth and Agnes Gereben Schaefer, assistant Army secretary for manpower and reserve affairs. They will be joined by experts from the across the force to discuss Army civilian innovation and changes that keep the Army among the top 10 best places to work.
The Sergeant Major of the Army Professional Development Forum will feature senior enlisted leaders from U.S. Army Pacific, U.S. Army Europe and Africa, Army Special Operations Command, the Army National Guard and Army Reserve Command.
A panel titled “Increasing the Speed of Warfighter Innovation” will feature Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George, and there will be a security cooperation seminar titled “Harnessing the Power of a Modernized Security Cooperation Environment.”
In the afternoon, there will be two contemporary military forums—one on the Army profession and another on transforming the organic industrial base.
The annual meeting concludes with the George Catlett Marshall Memorial Reception and Dinner, a black-tie event in the ballroom of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. This year’s recipient of the George Catlett Marshall Medal, AUSA’s highest award, is the Army NCO.
Presentations at the Warriors Corner, at the Army exhibit in Booth 1825 in Hall B, include discussions on recruiting, Army food innovation and transformation, renewing professional writing, Army software modernization and ready and resilient installations.
The exhibits are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
