Cutting-edge technology will be on display in the Innovators Corner pavilion at the Association of the U.S. Army’s Annual Meeting and Exposition.  The event will be held Oct. 3 to 5 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.  

Thomas P. Russell, acting deputy Army secretary for research and technology, will open the exhibit, in Hall C of the convention center, at noon on Oct. 3. On Oct. 4 and 5, presentations begin about 9 a.m. and continue throughout the day.

For education and discussion, there will be presentations about new force protection gear, advancements in metrology, microrobots, and new ways to visualize terrain. Presentations are planned about supplying power for dismounted soldiers and vetting software for the future.

Each day of the three-day event, there will be a display about technology transfer and collaboration between the Army and industry.

Units with presentations or displays come from around the service including the Army Research Laboratory; Army Cyber Command; Army Medical Research and Materiel Command; Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center; Communications-Electronics Research Development and Engineering Center; Edgewood Chemical Biological Center; Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center; and Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center.
