Hundreds of job opportunities will be highlighted at a Total Army Career Fair in Los Angeles that aims to share the “endless possibilities” of uniformed and civilian Army careers.

Hosted by Deputy Army Undersecretary Mario Diaz, the career and recruiting fair will take place Nov. 1–2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at SoFi Stadium in the Los Angeles County suburb of Inglewood, according to an Army news release

Participants will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from the Regular Army, Army Reserve, Army National Guard and Department of the Army about what it’s like to work with the Army and the benefits of service.

“The message is about opportunity,” Roy Wallace, assistant deputy Army chief of staff for personnel, G-1, said in the release. “We want to focus on sharing the endless possibilities that a uniformed or a civilian career in the Army can offer.”

The Total Army Career Fair is a relatively new event for the Army, with the first such event taking place in April in Arlington, Texas. At the time, leaders said that a successful first event could lead to others around the country.

On-the-spot hiring is possible for hundreds of positions, including jobs in child care, cyber, chemistry, construction, contracting, security, intelligence, engineering and more. Uniformed recruits may receive signing bonuses of up to $50,000, free health care for themselves and their dependents, and 30 days of paid time off, according to the release.

Prospective soldiers, the release said, “can engage with those in uniform and envision themselves pursuing similar opportunities and roles,” Michele Davis, director of strategic communications at the Army Civilian Human Resources Agency, said in the release.

The Army has thousands of available civilian vacancies, in California and around the world, in over 500 occupations. Army civilian positions offer the chance for growth and advancement, and people with diverse skill sets and educational backgrounds are invited to attend.

“The career fair began as a civilian hiring event,” Wallace said in the release. “But then we decided we would try something that’s never been tried before, and that is to recruit for all Army openings at a single event, thus the ‘Total’ Army Career Fair. We want the Army to be the employer of choice for prospective candidates.”
