Kinderfeld: American Military Childrens Cemetary Memorial, Frankfurt
The Kinderfeld American Military Children’s Cemetery is located in Section XIV of the Frankfurt Hauptfriedhof /Main Cemetery. Military Service members were not authorized to ship the remains of deceased children under the age of 2, from 1946-1987 so this location was designated for Military Service Members serving in the Frankfurt area as a location to bury their children. Nearly 700 children were buried here during this time period.
