Your help is needed. On Friday, August 2, 2024, Wilmington will be hosting the Cape Fear Purple Heart Dinner as a tribute to the Purple Heart recipients in our area. Event will be hosted at the UNCW Burney Center at 5:00 pm. 

The Purple Heart is awarded to those who have been wounded or killed while serving with the US Military. Established by George Washington in 1782 as the badge of military merit, the Purple Heart’s order includes the phrase “Let it be known that he who wears the military order of the Purple Heart has given of his blood in the defense of his homeland and shall forever be revered by his fellow countrymen”.

Sponsors are needed to make this tribute possible. Please see the attached sponsor sheet and consider making a tax-deductible donation. All contributions will be used solely for the event which will be orchestrated through a volunteer staff of local community members.

Checks for Sponsorship or individual tickets should be made payable to Cape Fear Purple Heart Association and mailed to Purple Heart Dinner C/O John Gasson, 833 Arnold Rd, Wilmington, NC 28412. Individual tickets are $50 per ticket.

Sponsors are needed to make this annual tribute possible. All contributions will be used solely for the event which will be coordinated by an all-volunteer committee. 

Donations are tax-deductible. Checks made payable to Cape Fear Purple Heart Association.

WHITE SPONSOR: $500 Includes up to 4 tickets to the dinner Sponsor name listed in program and all media advertisements

BLUE SPONSOR: $1,000 Includes up to reserved seating for 6 Sponsor name listed in program and all media advertisements Recognized during dinner

PATRIOT ROUND TABLE: $2,000 Includes up to reserved seating for 8 Sponsor name listed in program and all media advertisements Recognized during dinner
