Veterans Week Takes Flight: All-Veteran Parachute Team to Land on Campus 

UNCW is proud to announce a thrilling and symbolic start to its annual Veterans Week celebration with a high-impact landing by an elite all-veteran parachute team (All Veteran Group). The event will take place on Friday, Nov. 7, at 7:45 a.m. on the university’s intramural fields, marking the official kickoff of a week dedicated to honoring service, promoting wellness and celebrating the strength of the veteran community. 

The parachute jump, featuring decorated veterans from multiple branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, is a tribute to courage, camaraderie and the enduring spirit of those who have served. As a university founded in 1947 on the principles of the G.I. Bill and committed to veteran success, this dramatic entrance sets the tone for a week filled with purpose-driven programming and the annual Veterans Day ceremony. 

Members of the campus and community members are invited to witness this unforgettable start to Veterans Week and to attend as many of the week’s events as possible to honor those who have served.
