A Message from Fort Knox Chapter President – Winter, 2026
The last few months have been chilly, but I am filled with warmth and gratitude as I step into the role of President of the Fort Knox Chapter of AUSA. Thank you for the trust you’ve placed in me. It is an honor to serve alongside a membership and leadership team whose dedication and service have shaped our chapter with a truly remarkable legacy.
Fort Knox AUSA has a history built on service, sacrifice, and community. That legacy is not just a line in our records, it lives in the programs we run, the families we support, and the veterans and soldiers who rely on us. I am humbled to be part of an organization with such deep roots and proud traditions, and I am committed to preserving and building on what those who came before us have accomplished.
My Vision for the Next Two Years
My focus is simple: strengthen our chapter, expand our impact, and serve our community. Over the next two years I want us to:
- Grow membership so more voices and talents contribute to our mission.
- Enhance support for soldiers and families through targeted programs and partnerships.
- Increase community engagement with events, outreach, and educational opportunities.
- Champion advocacy and professional development for our members and the soldiers we serve.
These priorities reflect both respect for our past and a clear-eyed commitment to the future. I have immense respect for the experience and service represented across our membership. The years of military service, the lessons learned, and the connections you bring are invaluable. I don’t pretend to have all the answers; I am here to listen, learn, and work with you to amplify the strengths already in this chapter.
This chapter succeeds when we act together. I am excited to roll up my sleeves and get to work, and I look forward to collaborating with each of you: when we combine our members, volunteers, partners, and supporters, meaningful progress is made. Your ideas, energy, and commitment will be the reasons for our success.
Thank you again for this opportunity to serve. I am honored to be your President and eager to build on our proud legacy. Together we will strengthen Fort Knox AUSA and ensure it remains a powerful force for service, support, and community.
With respect and gratitude,
Keri Anne Smialek
