Chapter hosts Young Professionals Networking Social at Elite Shooting Sports

Monday, January 28, 2019

Over thirty sharpshooters attended Chapter's Young Professionals networking social at Elite Shooting Sports in Manassas, VA this past Friday evening January 25, 2019.

Rich Hardie, VP for the YP program reserved 10 shooting lanes exclusively for the event and provided pizza and drinks. Safety was paramount, tight shot groups were hoped for and fun was mandatory.

Elite Shooting Sports provided a classroom where the Chapter was able to display AUSA banners and promotional materials that informed the participants of the benefits of membership and the many ways the Fairfax-Lee chapter supports Soldiers and the Army community in NOVA. Chapter President Ken Britt spoke to the group, outlining the accomplishments of the chapter and encouraging new members to sign up. Attendees included George Mason University ROTC Cadets, a Wounded Warrior from the Fort Belvoir Warrior Transition Brigade, local Active duty members, and several veterans/retirees.

The goal of the Chapter's YPP is to create professional development, networking, and mentoring programs geared towards entry to mid-level professionals who also want to support America's Army.

Stay tuned for the next Young Professionals event in the future.
