Please join us at the Von Braun Center or online as we welcome General James Rainey, Commanding General of United States Army Futures Command, for an AUSA/CSIS Strategic Landpower Dialogue event. General Rainey will participate in a discussion on Army transformation, key Army Futures Command acquisition priorities, and the Army’s next warfighting concept.
Please note that, unlike previous Strategic Landpower Dialogue events, the in-person portion of the discussion is being held in Huntsville, Alabama, and not at CSIS.
Registration for Global Force is required for admittance to the concert hall. If you are not attending the Global Force Symposium but would only like to attend the SLD discussion, please arrive at the concert hall at 3:45 pm, where you will be given a guest registration code by AUSA staff at no cost. You’ll be required to register before entering the SLD discussion. The guest registration code is only valid for admittance to the SLD event.
About the Strategic Landpower Dialogue
The Strategic Landpower Dialogue series brings together the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) for a public, quarterly, on-the-record speaker series on landpower security issues. It serves as a unique source of insights into the current thinking and future challenges for land forces in a rapidly evolving security environment and highlights the Army’s strategic role in U.S. national defense. The Strategic Landpower Dialogue series provides an unmatched forum to hear from military and defense leaders at the forefront of strategic military thought across the U.S. Army, joint force, and allies and partners.

The event will be held in person and online on March 26, 2025, from 4:00 to 5:15 PM CST. Registration for Global Force is required for admittance to the concert hall. If you are not attending the Global Force Symposium but would only like to attend the SLD discussion, please arrive at the concert hall at 3:45 pm, where you will be given a guest registration code by AUSA staff at no cost. The in-person event will be held in the Von Braun Center’s Mark C. Smith Concert Hall at 700 Monroe St SW, Huntsville, AL 35801.
