The Association of the United States Army’s Institute of Land Warfare (AUSA ILW) presents its Army Medical Hot Topic Forum to be held 22 September 2016 at the AUSA Conference and Event Center in Arlington, VA.

This symposium is a forum for senior leadership in the military, federal agencies, industry, and academia to collaborate; sharing lessons learned from both enduring and contingency operations over the last 15 years.  The success of Army Medicine is enabled by critical collaborations with US government, academic, industrial and non-governmental partners.  This forum will facilitate a dialogue among experts in order to identify strategic opportunities and develop responsive medical capabilities that enable Joint Force success while navigating to and through a complex Future Operating Environment.

The depth and breadth of Army Medicine goes beyond health care delivery in the bricks and mortar of hospitals and clinics. The world class Combat Casualty Care we deliver is the tip of the spear of a complex organization that also serves the Warfighter and our Nation through ongoing research, education and training, and public health initiatives. MEDAUSA will highlight the broader strategic applications of Army Medicine role as the Nation’s premier expeditionary and globally integrated medical force ready to meet the ever-changing challenges of today and tomorrow. The symposium serves as a platform for enabling Army Medicine to remain one team with one purpose and conserve the fighting strength both today and tomorrow.

Ultimately, the key objective of this symposium is to engage in an open discussion with Army leaders, National partners in industry, academia and joint forces. Together this symposium has the potential to yield tremendous value as we consider the challenges and opportunities as Army Medicine continues to enable Army Readiness; “Army Readiness is #1…and there is no other number one” – Gen. Mark A. Milley.
