For the fourth year in a row, the Army will host a Small Business Seminar at the Association for the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting. The seminar will take place October 4 - 5 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Rooms 201 and 202A in Washington, DC. Previous seminars have been a tremendous success, drawing hundreds of representatives from small and large businesses as well as from government.

The theme this year is “Supporting America’s Army; Today and in the Future.” Confirmed speakers include: Mr. Kenyata Wesley, Acting Director, Department of Dense Office of Small Business Programs; LTG Robert Ferrell, Chief Information Officer/G6, Dr. Thomas Russell, Acting Director, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army, Research & Technology and Mr. Sean Crean, Director, Office of Government Contracting, Small Business Administration to name a few. Panel topics include:

  • Overview Key Small Business Focused Programs (SBIR/IRAD/JCTDS DIUx)
  • Woman-Owned Small Business Update
  • Innovation and the Small Business Community
  • Discussion with Prime Contractors Doing Business with the Army
  • Discussion with Small Business Directors, Offices of Small and Disadvantage Business Utilization from Federal Agencies
  • This year, we will again host one-on-one small business counseling (Matchmaking) sessions with representatives from the Army, Prime contractors, and civilian Federal Agencies on Wednesday, October 5 from 1:30pm – 4:00pm.
