Northern New Jersey Chapter

123

AUSA's Northern New Jersey Chapter is a dynamic and growing chapter that is doing a great deal to support AUSA's mission of 'Voice for the Army - Support for the Soldier'. The chapter boasts a strong Young Professionals program and excellent support for Corporate Members, combining both with high quality networking events. We support  our service members with professional development, uniting the Army with the community and educating the community with events and interaction with our Soldiers.

The Northern New Jersey Chapter covers the counties of Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex, Essex, Bergen, Passaic, Hudson, and Union.  Northern NJ supports the total Army family by educating and informing the public about the roles of America's Army and support the Veteran communities and their families. Chapter membership offers a great opportunity to get involved at the grassroots level and to make a real difference in the community. We hope to see you at one of our events. We celebrate and meet members at our local restaurants, VFW and American Legions while spending time with our guest speakers with great food and beverages. Our events include keynotes speakers and educational forums that bind our community and our Army, together.

In January 2025 we met SMA (Ret) Daniel A. Dailey, served as the 15th Sergeant Major of the Army, and learned about AUSA and the benefits of joining AUSA. We met new members and honored our life-time members and community partners.

In February, we heard from SGM Nikeisha Gayle and her 20 plus-year Army career in the NJ Army National Guard. Her experiences and strength inspired all in the crowd.

We celebrated Women's History Month with CW5 (Ret) Phyllis J. Wilson, President of the Women in Military Service for America Memorial Foundation – the only major national memorial honoring the 3 Million women who have defended America from the Revolutionary War to today. The Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, has appointed her to the Reserve Forces Policy Board. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Policy Vets and the Association of the United States Army (AUSA). She is also a Senior Fellow at AUSA. Phyllis serves as an Army Reserve Ambassador for Maryland which is afforded the rights, privileges, and protocol status equivalent to that of a 2-Star General Officer.
