Chapter Posts

This month Brigadier General Welton Chase joined us to share the journey through time with BG Welton Chase to see how "Camp Gordon" transformed from a World War II training camp - producing brave, combat arms, fighting Infantryman wielding bayonets and maneuvering tanks - into today's "Fort Gordon," a cyber dominance platform - developing the most elite, powerful, Information Warrior of tomorrow's fighting force.

This month General Carter Ham, U.S. Army Retired, AUSA President & CEO for being our guest speaker at today's August Morning ZOOM Briefing. If you missed his discussion on AUSA National and what to expect, please watch the video below.

Also, many thanks to our sponsors: Petsch Respiratory, Herbert Homes, First Command, Amentum, Georgia Power, MAU Workforce Solutions, Mayo and Associates, Defoor Realty, Episcopal Day School, and the CSRA Alliance for Fort Gordon.

This month MG Tom Carden, GA State Adjutant General, addressed the roles and responsibilities of the GA National Guard in response to the pandemic, protests, and violence. At the direction of the Governor, the GA National Guard serves in concert with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. Hear how these citizen soldiers have been deployed, what they legally can and cannot do, and what training they have received to perform these duties. Click here for the slides

This month we had Colonel Jim Clifford, Garrison Commander, providing his final Fort Gordon update for AUSA before he retires to become the North Augusta City Administrator. We have been fortunate to have Col Clifford, wife Hannah and family as a more permanent addition to our region.

UPDATE: Application deadline has been extended to June 30th.
