Can you remember when there were no computers, smart phones or Internet; and cyber threats were something seen only on movie screens? As you know, technology has come a long way (quickly); and Cyber operations is a 'reality.' To meet the growing demand of the digital age, 10 years ago the U.S. Army created the Cyber Branch to protect and defend our nation from the unseen threat. It is the job of an Army Historian to keep up with the ongoing modernization and transformation initiatives, so lessons learned from the past are never lost.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! We are kicking off 2025 with COL James Pairmore, Fort Eisenhower's Medical Center Commander, providing a summary of the Hurricane Helene response action and an update on the recent transition to the Defense Health Agency’s new patient centered model of care known as “My Military Health.” He will also share information on DDEAMC’s upcoming 50th Anniversary and connection efforts with the local retired DDEAMC Leadership.

It's no Secret - Mental Illness has no boundaries! You can find it in our local communities as well as within the perimeter of our military installations. This month, COL Carlene Blanding, Commander, DDEAMC, and a panel of medical professionals from Fort Gordon, will discuss how the Department of Defense and her team are getting after Mental Illness and implementing programs to help promote positive mental health for all Service Members and their Families. Join us as we learn more about this silent illness from detection to prevention.

AUSA Ft. Gordon Chapter's Annual Golf Tournament to be held on Sept 10, 2021

The Greater Augusta-Fort Gordon Chapter of the Association of the United States Anny (AUSA) annual golf tournament fundraiser will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 (rain date is Monday, September 13, 2021). As always, the tournament will be held at the beautiful Gordon Lakes Golf Course on Fort Gordon, home of the Cyber Center of Excellence.
