Chapter Newsletter October 2025

President’s Note

Greetings from the Great Place. Since my last report in May, your Central Texas Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Chapter has been busy telling the Army story, representing Fort Hood regionally and nationally, growing membership, and most importantly helping Soldiers, Veterans, and their Families. The Chapter, along with our great Community Partners, have helped many Soldiers since my last report. From providing thousands of dollars in support of Army unit events to helping Soldiers in times of need, the Central Texas Chapter has done so much in support of Soldiers, Army Families, Veterans, future Soldiers, and those who love the Army!

Chapter spotlight. I would like to recognize the exemplary performance of Chapter Membership Chair, Dru Hull. An Army Reservist who in the last 3 months Dru was promoted to Staff Sergeant, awarded a $44,000 AUSA National Scholarship, was recognized as the III Corps Volunteer of the Month, and received three of the highest Red Cross lifesaving awards presented by the AUSA 4th Region Leadership. Well done, Dru and thanks for your service!
