Resolutions Committee membership approved
The Council of Trustees approved the 2011 AUSA Resolutions Committee membership at its spring meeting.Command Sgt. Maj. Douglas Gibbens, USAR, Ret., Indiana Chapter, was selected as the committee chairman.Assisting Gibbens as subcommittee chairmen will be Col. Gregory King, USAR, Ret., Fairfax-Lee Chapter, and Maj. Gen. Dave Kaucheck, USAR, Ret., Arizona Territorial Chapter.The committee will convene in Washington, October 6 to 12, to compile resolutions that form the Association’s legislative agenda for the year 2012. The Resolutions Committee represents a cross section of the Association.Returning members are: Command Sgt. Maj. Mark Avery, USA, Ret., Omar Bradley Chapter; Maj. Gen. James E. Donald, USA, Ret., Greater Atlanta Chapter; Lt. Col. Marc Jacobson, USAR, Ret., Redstone-Huntsville Chapter; Col. Robert Mentell, USA, Ret., Gen. Creighton W. Abrams Chapter; Dr. James Meyl, DAC, Ret., Tobyhanna Chapter; Lt. Col. Verl Miller, OrARNG, Columbia River Chapter; and Lt. Col. Sharlee Smith, NvARNG, Ret., Gen. Wm. Westmoreland Chapter.Joining the committee for the first time are: Maj. James Burrows, USA, Ret., Greater Detroit Chapter; Col. Michael Neer, USA, Ret., Greater Kansas City Chapter; Sgt. Maj. Geri Wacker, USA, Ret., Last Frontier Chapter; and CW5 Paul Amacher, USAR, Ret., Gen. John Vessey – Minnesota Chapter.The council also approved a roster of alternate members from the group of nominees.In the event a committee member is unable to serve, a replacement may be named from the list of alternates.
