Story by Staff Sgt. Jeremy Schutzmann and Staff Sgt. John Kinsey, 2nd AAB, 1st Inf. Div., USD–C.  BAGHDAD–The 212th Military Police Company, Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, United States Division – Center, graduated 101 Iraqi Police officers from the Criminal Justice Center at Camp Liberty, Iraq.  The training program curriculum, which spanned about four weeks, focused on human rights, police officer development, counter-insurgency, code of conduct, security, traffic police training, K-9 sustainment training and train-the-trainer courses designed to certify the graduates to train within their ranks.During the first two weeks, a significant amount of time was placed on officer development. Following, train-the-trainer tasks on investigative procedures, the warrant process, and professional conduct took a forefront.    “The course was challenging and forced me to process information differently than I was originally trained,” said an Iraqi policeman, who went through the course. “After graduating the course, I feel very proficient.”The CJC helps facilitate the training environment for Iraqi Police to choose their focus area and attend training based on it.“I think the CJC provides the Iraqi Policemen a great opportunity to learn new techniques to better help them police the streets of [Baghdad] Iraq,” said Pfc. Henry Limones, a military policeman with 212th MP Co. and a Boulder, Colo., native.
