Army Birthday: From the Pentagon to Afghanistan

In celebration of the Army’s 237th birthday, 3rd Infantry Division Commander Maj. Gen. Robert ‘Abe’ Abrams, Command Sgt. Maj. Edd Watson, and the division’s oldest and youngest soldiers, Chief Warrant Officer 5 Ray Noble and Pvt. Two thousand soldiers from Fort Sam Houston, Texas, ran to the Alamo June 14 after Revile to take part in a cake cutting ceremony celebrating the Army’s 237th birthday. The 100-foot long cake, decorated with 237 American flags, was donated by the Association of the United States Army’s Alamo Chapter.
