Started in 1985, the Army Ten-Miler (ATM) takes place each October in Washington, DC to promote the Army, build spirit de corps, support Army fitness goals, and enhance community relations. All race proceeds benefit Soldier MWR programs.

AUSA—the Association of the United States Army—is the one of the lead sponsors and founding sponsor of the Army Ten-Miler. A member-based, educational nonprofit, AUSA provides Soldiers and their families with programs and events, professional development resources, and a global network.
