US Army Team Wins Joint Services Golf Tournament
08/11/2004

“We may be an ‘Army of One’ but it took a team to win the Annual Joint Services E-9 Golf Tournament,” stated CSM (R) Jimmie Spencer, director of NCO and Soldier Programs, Association of the United States Army.

The United States Marine Corps hosted this year’s 25th Annual All-Services E-9 Golf Tournament on their rain-soaked Medal of Honor Golf Course in Quantico, Va., on Aug. 4. Twenty E-9s from each service squared off bright and early Wednesday morning with one thought in mind, the trophy. The trophy and the bragging rights are very much a part of the friendly competition. By all accounts, a good time was had by everyone.

The teammates listed below fought to regain the trophy taken last year by the Air Force team. The Army team has captured the trophy seven out of the 10 years since the inception of the tournament trophy. The trophy will be displayed in the Sergeant Major of the Army’s office until next year’s competition. HOOAH!
