The Chapter executive committee visited Operation Iraqi Freedom in-patient and out-patient service members at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC. Committee members presented each service member with a 120-minute phone card, book of stamps and a letter from the Chapter president thanking them for their sacrifices. The troops were upbeat despite their injuries and shared their stories with us.
We were able to purchase the phone cards and stamps through a generous donation from AUSA Sustaining Member Northrop Grumman. We will continue to visit the troops bi-monthly to show our support. The event was covered in the Fort Meade post paper.
