Themis has over ten years experience developing and producing industry standard form factor single-board computers and server products, using 64-bit SPARC, x86 and PowerPC processors. This expertise is reflected in the company’s high performance SMP processing platforms, that support many popular Operating Systems, including LINUX, Sun Solaris, Windows, and real time operating environments. Themis is also at the forefront in adapting multi-core processor architectures to its board and server product lines, enabling the company to provide users high performance, with superior size, weight and power. Themis’ experience in this application space enables strong partner relationships with the leading high performance processor vendors including AMD, IBM, Sun, Intel, PA Semi and others.
Themis’ innovative high density, scalable and reliable server platforms meet a wide range of demanding infrastructure-computing needs. These rugged systems include reliable cost effective enterprise servers, a high performance robust scalable Themis Slice blade server platform and architecture, and server technology with superior life-cycle management, for demanding mission critical applications. The Themis Computer family of COTS VME-based boards and systems products provide increased processing power and system reliability to demanding application environments, while achieving a net reduction in total cost of ownership.
Themis provides the United States Armed Forces the widest breadth of general purpose embedded systems products in the industry. Themis' high performance servers, single-board computers and graphics controllers are now being integrated into advanced communications and defense systems, worldwide. Themis is a proven supplier to the U. S. Army in TENCAP, tactical defense systems contracts, and to the Shadow 200 RQ-7A
The Shadow 200 aerial vehicle was selected by the U.S. Army as the TUAV for battlefield and peacekeeping reconnaissance and surveillance missions. The first of a new generation of TUAV systems, the Shadow TUAV is designed to provide U.S. Army brigade commanders with crucial reconnaissance, surveillance, and battlefield damage intelligence. The Ground Control Station (GCS) is an operations proven Rugged Portable System adapted for use with the Shadow TUAV. Use of pre-existing hardware and software reduces risk and provides system maturity. Themis’ single-board computers were selected for use in the GCS and PGCS VME-based operator workstations. These workstations collect, process, analyze, and distribute digitized battlefield information by interfacing with present and planned service command, control, communications, computers and intelligence (C4I) systems.
Quorum is Themis’ award winning high-availability and workload management software product. Quorum manages distributed real-time applications with multi-mission flexibility, required levels of performance, availability and fault tolerance on a network of generic COTS computers. Quorum was recently selected for use in Northrop Grumman's Battle Management Command and Control (BMC2) subsystem proposal. Northrop Grumman's BMC2 effort is being led by the company's Integrated Systems sector. Quorum is a distributed computing resource management system for the automated management of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), applications and hardware resources, in real-time, mission critical distributed systems. Quorum's automated real- time policy engine can detect a problem and implement a solution, in as little as 50 milliseconds. Quorum's responsiveness gives users a high availability alternative to costly fault tolerant systems, making it one of the most cost effective solutions on the market. Quorum performs automated closed loop management of Application QoS (AQoS) and allocation of resources for real-time systems. When appropriate, Quorum can implement actions that automatically correct problems, based on administrative policies that may themselves be dynamic. Quorum is standards-based and supports a wide variety of computing platforms including Sun Solaris, Linux, Microsoft® Windows and LynxOS® servers, as well as various network switches and SMI-compliant Storage Area Networks.
An ISO 9001 certified company, Themis practices Total Quality Management (TQM) in all areas of its business, from engineering and manufacturing to sales and customer service. All Themis products are designed and manufactured in accordance with a set of development procedures designed to insure the development and production of high quality commercial and ruggedized products.
