The Association of the United States Army’s Industry Affairs Directorate unveiled Jan. 29 a new searchable database of its sustaining members.
The database contains key information on AUSA sustaining member organizations by employing a variety of search options.
According to Association officials, the database provides additional exposure for AUSA’s sustaining members -- the leaders in our nation’s strategic industrial base.
It also gives the defense industry and the Army a valuable and flexible research tool.
The new database includes a brief description of each member’s product or service, as well as key contact information.
Michael Scanlan, director of AUSA’s Industry Affairs, said, “This is a terrific new sustaining member benefit. We’re always looking for ways to help our industry partners and this is a very useful tool.
“The Sustaining Member Database provides a great way to showcase information about our members. In Industry Affairs, we’re asked all the time: ‘Who do you know that makes boots or tents or sunglasses? Where can I find a company that sells antennae? How many companies do you have that make knives or hand saws?’ Well, now you can find out.”
AUSA’s Sustaining Member Program includes over 550 companies and organizations from around the world.
Sustaining members are major industry leaders, businesses and professional organizations involved in the research, development and production of weapons, equipment and services for the U.S. Army and form the nation's defense industrial base.
The Sustaining Member Database is found on the Association’s Web site – www.ausa.org -- go to Sustaining Member box and click on “NEW! Searchable Sustaining Member Database.”
