A crisis can strike anywhere and at anytime; whether man made or a natural disaster we all need to be prepared. Recent events, such as hurricane Katrina, clearly demonstrate the necessity for personal, family and organizational emergency preparedness. Bridging this gap, the Army’s Emergency Management program is dedicated to protecting Army communities including Soldiers, their Families, civilians, and contract personnel. Army Emergency Management personnel will be on hand to discuss the Army’s comprehensive program for preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery and to promote personal emergency preparedness. There are many things you can do. Stop by our booth, located at 224, to learn how you can prepare yourself and your family in the event of an emergency, and you could win a basic home emergency kit to get you started.
The Army Emergency Management Program will debut an exhibit at the 2007 Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting & Exposition to be held at the Washington Convention Center Monday October 8 – Wednesday October 10.
