USAEUR soldiers train with Romanian forces

October is the rainy season along Romania's Black Sea coast. It is also the time when a transformed MLRS battalion, the 1st Battalion 94th, Field Artillery from Strassburg Kaserne, Idar-Oberstein, Germany, was wrapping up its “proof of principle” exercise with the 341st Infantry Battalion of the Romanian land forces.

The joint months-long exercise with American and Romanian forces was brought to new heights on Oct. 5 as soldiers and airmen from Southern European Task Force (Airborne) conducted combined, joint airborne operations with the Romanian soldiers from the 60th Airborne Battalion.
