A senior National Guard official told Congress that with the designation of a brigade in Pennsylvania to convert to in an Interim Brigade Combat Team that "we're going through the drill" that the active Army confronts in providing facilities for the new kinds of units.

'Father of Aviation Logistics' Dies at 88 (08/01/2002)
Joseph P. Cribbins, 88, a senior executive service Department of the Army civilian employee, and an acknowledged legend in the evolution and development of Army aviation safety and logistics, died in his sleep June 14 at Naval Medical Center in Bethesda of complications resulting from a hip fracture.

Force development specialty training for warrant officers is a good news story, Chief Warrant 4 Mike Graham, USA, Ret., senior management analyst, Army Development Systems, said in a recent interview with AUSA NEWS. He said that the initiative is on track and should be fully implemented by Fiscal Year 2005.

Transformation Began in Logistics (08/01/2002)
"The transformation of the U.S. Army really began in the logistics community," Gen. Gordon R. Sullivan, USA, Ret., president of the Association of the United States Army, said. He said, in part, this came from lessons learned in the Persian Gulf War.
