The North Texas Chapter of AUSA EXCO convened at 1130 hrs, 12 May 2011 at The Keg restaurant in Las Colinas.

The following topics were covered:
Collin County Essay Contest
Fletcher gave an update on the competition coming up on Saturday. He will be purchasing the US Savings Bond given as prizes.
Chapter Operating Plan
JP will send out a final for approval. Deadline is end of June, as the new operating year starts on 1 July.
Update of Golf Classic Planning
Rich hosted a table at Brookhaven’s Open House and met with the golf pro’s.
Military Symposium
JP received a thank you note from GEN Joseph Dunford, the speaker and Asst Commandant of USMC.
Corporate Membership Drive
Matt will lead our representation at Plano COSTCO locations over the next two weekends. The goal is to add many smaller companies to our membership to help spread the word about our missions.
Monthly Financial Reports
Morris handed out the monthly reports: $9600 in operating accounts and $2400 in golf account
ROTC
JP delivered commissioning addresses at TCU and UNT. He remarked on the growth in the Denton cadet strength over recent years.
Hosting Regional Meeting
Discussed planning committee results (see separate minutes) and funding information received from Alamo Chapter.
Family Readiness Unit Support
We discussed supporting both USAR and ARNG units for family Yellow Ribbon Days.
Next Meeting
The next General Membership Meeting will be held on Thursday, 9 June at 1830 hours at Canyon Creek Country Club in Richardson. We will celebrate the Army Birthday and Collin County Judge Keith Self will be our speaker.
