The Army and Air Force Exchange’s Military Moving Center offers a one-stop resource to allow Servicemembers and their families to compare and purchase utilities, telephone, video, Internet access and other essential household services.

Army Housing OneStop
The Army's Housing Office provides military families with comprehensive information about Army housing worldwide through its OneStop web site. Visitors top the site can learn about the kinds of housing available to them at a particular installation, view floor plans, plan a move and check their position on the housing wait list. There is also information about Army housing policy as well as charts listing Basic Allowance for Housing and Cost of Living Allowance by location.

Automated Housing Referral Network (AHRN)
The AHRN is sponsored by the Department of Defense and is designed to improve the process of securing housing for military members and their families. Families must register to access the available resources. Registration is free.

Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) for the US Army
Official DoD web site with information about the ongoing reorganization of military installation structure.

Information about the homeowner assistance program for military and civilian personnel affected by base closure or realignment.

BR Anchor Publishing
BR Anchor Publishing produces a number of titles to assist families with domestic or international relocation.
The online portal for military wives and women in uniform has several useful articles about relocation. Spouses can also take advantage of online forums to learn about their new locations from other family members.

This DoD website has information to help families understand entitlements and responsibilities concerning shipment of household goods, unaccompanied baggage, boats, pets, privately owned vehicles and mobile homes.
A comprehensive web site offering information on over 200 military installations and their surrounding communities. Visitors to the site can learn about installations, get moving tips, locate public services, and find military friendly businesses. provides an online network for military members to advertise properties for sale or rent and provides an online search tool for military families looking for housing.

The Military Family Network Relocation Center
The Military Family Network connects with community organizations, local governments and businesses to assist military families. The website has resources and articles to help with relocation.

Military Homefront’s Military Installations
The DoD website for military families, Military Homefront, hosts Military Installations, an online search tool allowing Servicemembers and their families to look up information about installations and local communities.
Military Homefront’s Plan My Move
This DoD website provides military personnel and their families with access to information about entitlements and benefits, to points of contact, checklists, planning tools, and information on education and employment.

Military Moving Station
Military Moving Station links military families to a Real Estate Counselor. The counselor provides expert advice into buying and selling the family home. Military Moving Station is a free program available only to military families.

Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC)
The SDDC (formerly the Military Traffic Management Command) is responsible for the movement of combat units, sustainment cargo, Servicemember household goods and privately owned vehicles. The SDDC website has information about DoD policies and regulations concerning the movement of Servicemembers’ household property.
