Staff Sgt. Miller presented Medal of Honor posthumously

President Barack Obama will award Staff Sgt. Robert J. Miller the Medal of Honor posthumously for conspicuous gallantry on Oct. 6.


Giunta will be first living recipient of Medal of Honor from wars in Iraq and Afghanistan

The Medal of Honor will be awarded for the first time to a living veteran of the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan, White House officials announced Sept. 10 in a written statement.
