AUSA Hosts Army Network Hot Topic July 9

The Association of the U.S. Army will host a symposium about the future of the Army network worldwide on July 9. This is an earlier date than previously announced.Titled "Enabling Success for Today and Tomorrow", the one-day event at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Va., will look at how the Army, in collaboration with its mission partners and many stakeholders, is building a robust, secure, integrated, standards-based global network that enables commanders to successfully apply strategic land power in the complex environments of today and tomorrow.Vice Chief of Staff of the Army Gen. Daniel Allyn will be the headline speaker. Follow-up panel discussions include enabling partnerships across joint information environments, mission command for a complex world, cultivating partnerships across geographic and organization boundaries, and IT soldier and civilian development. The symposium is the second in a series of four AUSA Hot Topic events planned this year. Army medical care is the topic for Sept. 22, and Army cyber programs will be discussed Nov. 20.All the events are similarly organized, with expert speakers drawn from the Army and industry for speeches and panel discussions. To register for the Hot Topic event on sustainability, visit: http://www.ausa.org/ausameetings/ht/Network/Pages/default.aspxTo see the schedule of events for the year, visit: http://www.ausa.org/ausameetings/Pages/default.aspx
