Association of the United States Army (AUSA) and Gannett Co., Inc., officials announced today that they have joined forces to produce the first ever Show Daily during the 2014 AUSA Annual Meeting and Exposition, Oct. 13 -15, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in the nation’s capital.
The AUSA Show Daily, presented by Defense News, will be published for each of the three days of the show and will be distributed to the thousands of defense leaders, exhibitors, soldiers and civilians who attend this event.
“This is a perfect match – America’s biggest, most robust defense show joining forces with the world’s premier defense publication,” said Tobias Naegele, vice president and general manager of Defense News, a division of Gannett Government Media (GGM).
Adding “AUSA has never had a Show Daily before, and we’re excited to create this exciting new product.”
Gen. Gordon R. Sullivan, USA, Ret., AUSA president, said, “This new and dynamic publication, AUSA Show Daily, presented by Defense News, will provide timely and important coverage of our landpower professional development forum, and valuable information to our over 29,000 attendees. This is a very welcomed addition to our communications and public relations efforts.
“We thank Gannett for joining our team.”
Defense News staff coverage of the Annual Meeting and Exposition will be supplemented by staff reporting from Army Times, a sister publication, and by staff supporting AUSA.
The Show Daily staff will be located in the AUSA Press Room, Room 104A, in the Convention Center.
In addition to the Show Daily, GGM will distribute at the meeting regular editions of Defense News and Army Times, post continuous coverage the Defense News-Army Times digital Show Scout online, and record TV interviews for the weekly TV talk show Defense News with Vago Muradian in the AUSA exhibit hall.
“No matter how visitors to AUSA get their information, we’ll have it covered – print, digital, and TV,” Naegele said. “It’s total, 360-degree coverage.”
