AUSA Congratulates Drill Sergeants of the Year

Command Sgt. Maj. Jimmie Spencer, director of Noncommissioned Officer and Soldier Programs (shown below), greeted the eight competitors in the 2010 Drill Sergeant of the Year  Competition that concluded with a an awards ceremony at Fort Monroe, Va., June 18. 



Staff Sgt. Melissa Solomon, representing the 108th Division (IT), was selected as the Army Reserve winner (left front). Staff Sgt. Timothy Sarvis, representing Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., was selected as the active component winner (right front).  AUSA presented the two with watches and will recognize them at AUSA's 2010 Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. Oct. 25 to 27.
