Sgt. Maj. of the Army says Best Warrior Competition to be held in November

Despite being postponed from its original date in October because of the government shutdown, the 2013 Army’s Best Warrior Competition will go on as planned but at a later date, according to Sgt. Maj. of the Army Raymond F. Chandler III.

Speaking during a luncheon at the Association of the United States Army’s Annual Meeting and Exposition Oct. 21, Chandler told the crowd that the competition would now be held from Nov. 19-22 with the winners being announced on the last day.

“That will be for the 2013 Best Warrior Competition,” said Chandler, who also emphasized that this was not to be confused with the upcoming 2014 Best Warrior Competition.
