The Association of the United States Army’s Institute of Land Warfare (ILW), in conjunction with the United States Army Field Artillery Center and Fort Sill (USAFACFS), and the United States Army Air Defense Artillery Center and Fort Bliss (USAADACENFB) presents the 2010 AUSA ILW Army Fires Symposium & Exposition, to be held 20-22 July, 2010 at the Fort Worth Convention Center, Fort Worth, Texas. The theme for this year’s symposium is:
“Adaptable Fires: Shaping Concepts for the Future Fires Environment.”
The purpose of this announcement is to alert all AUSA Sustaining Members and interested members of industry and the military of the opportunity to exhibit during the three-day symposium.
A key objective of this professional development symposium will be to address the challenges and opportunities the Army Fires community faces as it transforms to the new, modular structure and creates the Army Fires Center of Excellence (CoE) and the Joint Fires University (JFU). Additional emphasis will be given to the ongoing efforts to create new Fires capabilities to support the combatant commander’s ability to operate effectively and efficiently with Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental and Multinational (JIIM) partners across the full spectrum of current and future conflicts. The comprehensive agenda will highlight the Fires challenges within the context of the 4 Army Imperatives. The key objectives for the professional development of participants (Army & Industry) will be to provide:
- an update on the Fires Center of Excellence (CoE) and the Joint Fires University (JFU)
- a discussion of the Fires Campaign Plan (FCP), to include Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leader Development, Personnel, Facilities, Cost and Risk (DOTMLPF-CR)
- a discussion on the challenges of creating the Contemporary Operating Environment (COE)
- a discussion on the challenges of developing a Fires strategy
- a discussion on leveraging the commonalities between the ADA/FA system of systems
- an update on developing/integrating new capabilities for the Fires Force

The 2010 AUSA/ILW Army Fires Symposium and Exposition will provide an open forum for attendees to interact and participate in discussions with leaders from the U.S. Army, DoD, industry, and academia.

Exhibit Hall A of the Fort Worth Convention Center will support 30,000 net square feet of display space and is suitable for any heavy equipment you may wish to bring. Exhibit space will be offered in increments of 10’x10’ on a first-come, first-served basis. Raw booth spaces can be combined to create larger display space. Please use the floor plan and exhibit space contract to select your preferred display space. Be sure to include more than one choice as your first choice may not be available.

Installation of exhibits will start at 1200 hours on Monday, 19 July. All exhibits must be ready for operation by 1600 hours on Tuesday, 20 July. Dismantling of exhibits will begin at 1300 hours on Thursday, 22 July.

Conference Participants
Conference participants will include government, and industry professionals that directly support the transformation and modernization of the U.S. Army Fires Force. Military and Government attendees include key leaders responsible for the organization, training and equipping of Fires Soldiers and leaders.
