January 2007 - 102d Army Band of The Connecticut Army National Guard - Concert held in South Windsor at the Timothy Edwards Middle School. The Connecticut Chapter was a co-sponsor of this event. There was no charge for the event, attendees were asked to bring a new unwrapped toy or gift card to support Operation E.L.F.(Embracing Lonely Families) 350 attended. 315 toys, 4 gift cards and $100 in cash was collected. Items were forwarded to the State Armory in Hartford for distribution to the families of deployed soldiers (CT National Guard). CSM Moeller, VP Reserve Affairs was a key organizer of this event. Numerous e-mails and phone calls were involved in the planning. Lunch for the Band was paid for by the Connecticut Chapter ($400.00). Flyer and Program will be forwarded in an e-mail.
